We are extremely satisfied with the job he did, and recommend Kotar Data Recovery highly.I also recommend putting into place a robust backup strategy. The process isnt cheap, but it is well worth it. He made a clone of the disk for us, and Im happy to say that we have everything back.Roberts professionalism and dedication towards getting our data back impressed us. After replacing several of the heads and manually rebuilding some failed firmware, Robert was able to successfully recover all of our data, including the hidden partitions of the disk. He sent regular status reports to us (one coming in at 11:00pm on a Friday night!). The owner, Robert Kotar, took charge of the case personally, and worked hard on the drive for several days, including on the weekend. No such luck. After quite a bit of research on Google, and impressed with the high number of positive reviews of Kotar, I called them up to see if they could help. Hoping at first that it was a motherboard issue, we used an external hard drive dock and plugged the drive in to see if a different computer could read it. It is said that there are two states for hard drives: Failing and Failed, and the 2TB Seagate hard drive used to store our data on the computer finally went from the failing state to the failed state, taking thousands of pictures, financial records, and other critical data with it. Implementing a reliable and robust backup strategy on our 7 year old Dell XPS 8700 was always in the we-really-need-to-do-that category, but somehow we never really found the time to do it. Absolute mess.PS: Robert, stop to send me messages, you had 52 days for that. I dont believe at all that failure to contact the client can happens 8 times in a row is just a coincidence. I understand that data recovery can be unsuccessful and nothing wrong with that, but there were too much lies and broken promises about work on my case. I contacted and asked to give me my mac, iphone and money back. Finally I was able to get everything back, on 38th day after the deadline. #Hard drive data recovery san jose updatePROMISED (haha) to give me the final result after 5 days.52st day: no update (8th time in a row).
